How COMFY MODA Waterproof Boots Are Tested in the Lab:
CANDRY™ Waterproof Protection
Never fear snow or rain again with waterproof membrane and professionally sealed seams boots as well as waterproof leather.
To prevent any infiltration of water, we seal every seam (visible and invisible) with high pressured adhesive tape and waterproof sealant. The stitching around the boots/shoes is made from a non-wicking thread to prevent it from absorbing water.
The seam sealed waterproof boots are at random to be tested during the sample development, before and during the assembly production for their waterproof sealing.
How COMFY MODA Waterproof Boots Are Tested in the Lab:
The boots are submerged in water above the outsole and flexed 30,000 times with testing equipment.
This test is to make sure the boots do not develop leaks. The machine in the picture below holds the boots in the water while stretching it and bending it, exposing all the seals to moisture. This way, we can see if any water can get into the boots or if we need to take a closer look at any specific areas of the waterproofing.

WarmEx Insoles
Comfy Warmex™ insoles are removable, cushioned, 3-layer thermal insole, which enhances comfort of footwear. The fleece layer retains warmth while the aluminum middle layer isolates your feet from the cold and wetness. A bottom layer of foam provides thermal insulation and is capable of maintaining a constant temperature inside the boots.
Genuine Rubber outsole
Genuine Rubber is obtained by processing the latex naturally secreted by certain plants like the para rubber plant and guayule. In addition to being an environmentally friendly choice, a genuine Rubber outsole ensures better boot traction (traction control grip) on ice and better insulation on a brisk winter's day. Unlike synthetic rubber, natural rubber retains its flexibility (Flex Zone) and suppleness even at low temperatures.
Leather Upper
A leather upper allows good evaporation, disallowing accumulation of fungus and other bacteria. The durability of the leather helps create shoe that is stronger and more durable while remaining light and flexible.
3M Thinsulation
Warm 3M Thinsulation is specially designed with warmth in mind. It makes use of body heat to retain warmth while pushing moisture out of your boots. Its light and strong, while being thin enough to not compromise the fit of the boots.
Wool Lining
Any Comfy Moda product with an interior wool lining makes use of a wool blend to insulate your feet from outside cold and moisture.
