What is CanDry Waterproof Technology?

For a product to hang the Comfy Moda "Waterproof" tag, it must meet Comfy Moda Waterproof quality standards.

Waterproof Seal

All materials used in the construction of Comfy Moda footwear are waterproof.

CANDRY Waterproof Membrane:
A waterproof, sock-like layer is sewn inside the boot to keep your feet dry. The layer is manufactured in the shape of shoe and tape is applied to its seams with waterproof glue for sealing , preventing any infiltration of water.
Each waterproof layer is tested before being used in the manufacturing of boots. Throughout the production chain, pairs of boots are sampled at random to be tested in the laboratory for their waterproof sealing.

Waterproofing Procedure

CANDRY Waterproof Protection with Seam Sealed:
To prevent any infiltration of water, we seal every seam (visible and invisible) with high pressured adhesive tape and waterproof sealant. The stitching around the boots/shoes is made from a non-wicking thread to prevent it from absorbing water.
The seam sealed waterproof boots are at random to be tested during the sample development, before the assembly production for their waterproof sealing.

How COMFY MODA Waterproof Boots Are Tested in the Lab:
The shoe is submerged in water above the outsole and flexed 15,000 times of cycles with testing equipment.

This test is to make sure the boots do not develop leaks. The machine in the picture below holds the shoe in the water while stretching it and bending it, exposing all the seals to the moisture. This way, we can see if any water is able to get into the shoe or if we need to take a closer look at any specific areas of the waterproofing.
