Nice tall boots, unfortunately had to return as too slim in the calves. Wish they had a selection for wide calves.
they are great boots, function quite well
I like that this boot hits right at the knee. One of my calves are bigger than the other so it's snug, but no less comfortable. A bit of stretch to the panel. They are lined and extremely warm in the winter. I live in northern Wisconsin so winter is like 6 months here. They have a sheen on them but not like patent leather. Great tread for the slick and snow on the walk way. They come with a second insert. I don't need it currently. Overall great boot for skirts, dresses and leggings.
I have long searched for a fully fur lined boots with a clean leather look. I found them. Warm, comfortable and sturdy, but also good looking.
These arrived just as the big snow hit, so they've gotten a good workout on a variety of snow, ice, and slushy surfaces. The lug sole is very stable (no slipping) and the low heels are easy to walk in. Most importantly, these are WARM. The fully fur-lined interior kept my feet warm and dry even after several hours outside. The rear panel stretches to accommodate wider calves or pants tucked into the boots. They look sleek, rising high in front but with a lower back so bending your knees are no problem. This is a very good quality boot with nice leather uppers, tight seams, and well-lined. They stayed water proof (mostly, see below) despite a couple of missteps into deep puddles. The leather didn't get stained or wet and the street grime cleaned off easily with a damp cloth. Highly recommended. So, why 4 stars? These ran small. I ordered up, getting an 11 so I could pair them with some bulky socks for extra warmth. No such luck. Toes went right to the end. They are still comfortable if I limit myself to thin socks or fleece-lined tights (my feet didn't get cold). However, they are too short for longer walks or all-day wear as I had hoped. If a size 12 were offered, I would have exchanged them up.My other gripe is I can't fathom why Comfy Moda (and to be fair, other shoe companies too) would make a beautiful waterproof boot and then NOT put in a waterproof closure. Water leaked in through the zipper on my puddle adventures. Melted ice and snow are a part of winter. Why not keep it out to the height of the boot shaft rather than just the first three inches?
